- Ellie and Savannah’s birthday is June 21st.
- When I first started writing this, "gifts" weren't a thing. The first people with gifts were Ellie, Savannah, Eva and Nikki.
- I had no idea why June looked the way she did. I also didn't know how the twins lost a year, I just knew that they had. Fortunately I did figure these out later.
- The creepy “sleep room” was actually based on a very pleasant dream.
- Nikki's backstory was based on a terrifying dream that I woke up from feeling amazing because I was so thankful to be alive.
- Nikki had left the mansion when she was attacked, changing both her physical appearance and her magic. What she didn't mention was why she was away from the mansion. June had just brought baby Eva home, and announced she was going to raise her inside the mansion's walls. Nikki was furious with this decision, and left. After some time, she did come to terms with June's decision, and the two forgave each other. Nikki even helped June in raising Eva.
- Eva was a fully formed character before Jerome even had a name.
- July 5th is the day June became queen.
- “Bogs” are based on Boston Terriers
