About the Blog

This blog will be full of random thoughts, for Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

Mondays will be musical days, where I share songs that make me think of Crossworlds characters/moments, or just songs I enjoy.

Tuesdays will be for other writers, and I'll share some tips that have helped me.

Wednesdays will be whatever's on my mind, or whatever I want to share. Some randomness, some book talk, we'll just see where it goes. I'm sure I'll write about what inspired Crossworlds, which will tell you far more about me than this little "About me" section. But I'm gonna try to fill this page anyway, because it's fun.

About Me

Why is it that authors can write hundreds of pages about the worlds inside our heads, yet when we're asked "tell me about yourself," we completely freeze?

Here we go...

I went to school at Southern Oregon University, where I studied psychology.

"OMG, this is such a creative idea for a picture!"

I grew up in Eugene with my parents, sister, two cats, and a what is that...(boston terrier).

"Act like you love each other, smile! No, look over here! Over HERE! SMILE!!"

Some Favorites of mine...

If I had to pick one favorite book, I can't.
If I had to pick a favorite book series, it would be Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials."

Really, I love anything fantasy, so of course I love Harry Potter. Inkheart was also inspiring, I always loved the idea of books coming to life in the real world.

My favorite kind of music is anything acapella, if it's well done. There's sure to be many examples of the acapella I love in the "Monday Music" blogs.

Jenna Marbles is my hero. If you've watched her videos, I'm sure you understand why. She's so unapologetically herself, and inspires me to do the same. Some of her videos are probably going to pop up in my "Wednesday Word" blogs. I feel the same way she does on many things, for example, I also hate people that suck.
